Barton “Bart” Oliver Shively

Barton “Bart” Oliver Shively, 86, of Chelan, passed away in his home on June 4, 2023. He was born to Jim and Clara Shively on October 2, 1936, in Chelan, Washington. Bart was raised in Chelan, graduated from Chelan High School in 1956. Bart was a longtime employee of Trout, Inc. He began working for Trout at the age of 14, making apple boxes and continued his employment until retirement in 2001.
Bart was a member of the Masons and Eagles. He enjoyed bowling, the lake, hunting, fishing, watching his birds, and the Seahawks - without a doubt, one of their biggest fans! Bart always looked forward to visiting with his children, grandchildren, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, his parents, Jim and Clara Shively.
He is survived by two sons, Roy Dewayne Shively of North Bend, Oregon and Gary Richard Shively of Chelan, Washington; one daughter, Cherii Dawn Dalton of Puyallup, Washington; one brother, Richard Shively of Mesquite, Nevada; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church.
