City of Chelan calls for candidates to fill city council vacancy

The City of Chelan is seeking applicants for the upcoming City Council Position No. 2 vacancy. Interested residents residing within the city limits are encouraged to apply. Interested individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria, including being a full-time resident within Chelan city limits for at least one year, a registered voter aged 18 or older, and possessing voting rights within the City of Chelan. Providing a residential street address for verification is crucial, as Post Office Box addresses will not be accepted.

Scheduled for the Jan. 9 City Council meeting, interviews for prospective candidates will commence at 6:00 p.m. At this meeting, the successful candidate will be appointed and expected to participate in the subsequent City Council session.

To apply for consideration, applicants are required to complete the Councilmember Application available on the City of Chelan's official website at cityofchelan.us. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2024. Applications received after this deadline will not be reviewed.
