CITY OF CHELAN NOTICE OF DECISION May 1, 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 22, 2024, the City of Chelan Hearing Examiner rendered a decision of APPROVAL following the public hearing conducted on April 9, 2024 for the following application: CUP2024-01/ SEPA2024-01 A copy of the Hearing Examiner’s decision is available upon request at City Hall, located at 135 E Johnson Avenue, Chelan WA 98816. Project Description: The subject application proposes constructing an extension on the south side of the existing building and adding a drive-through carport to the north side. Chelan Valley Hope plans to use the new approximately 2,200 square feet office space in the extension for their operations as a social service agency. Meanwhile, the new drive-through, alongside the existing ground-floor area, will be utilized by the Lake Chelan Food Bank. This arrangement will enhance the efficiency of storing and distributing food boxes directly to the clients' vehicles. Additionally, once Chelan Valley Hope relocates from their current space, the Lake Chelan Food Bank intends to remodel that area to include walk-in freezers and refrigerators. A copy of the threshold determination may be obtained upon request or at: https://tinyurl.com/City-of-Chelan-SEPA-Register. Anyone aggrieved by the decision for CUP2024-01 has twenty-one (21) days from the issuance of this decision, to file an appeal with Chelan County Superior Court, as provided for under the Judicial Review of Land Use Decisions, RCW 36.70C.040(3). The date of issuance is defined by RCW 36.70C.040 (4)(a) as "(t)hree days after a written decision is mailed by the local jurisdiction or if not mailed, the date on which the local jurisdiction provides notice that a written decision is publicly available" or if this section does not apply, then pursuant to RCW 36.70C.040(3) (c)" ... the date the decision is entered into the public record."
