This week was the first round of our club’s Apple Blossom match-play tournament. Congratulations to April Talley, Linda Hahn, Nancy Judson, and Nancy Parker for winning their matches today and moving forward to round two next week.
Welcome to our newest member Carla Bailey from Manson. We are looking forward to many more rounds with her.
This week’s competition was Monthly Medal (low gross and net by division and fewest putts). Nineteen members were in competition today.
Division 1: Low Gross: First Place, Jan Artim, 85. Second Place, April Talley, 90. Low Net: First Place, Candace Farnsworth, 71. Second Place, Linda Reister, 77.
Fewest Putts: April Talley, 30.
Division 2: Low Gross: First Place, Linda Hahn, 95. Low Net: First Place, Nancy Judson, 74.
Fewest Putts: a tie between Sherry Fisk and Nancy Judson, 30.
 Division 3: Low Gross: First Place, Nancy Parker, 107. Second Place, Judy Johanson, 116. Low Net: First Place, Carol Giffin, 76. Second Place, Tina Nyce, 87.
Fewest Putts: Nancy Parker, 30.
 Birdies were made by Linda Reister on hole 12, Cindi Smith on hole18. There were numerous chip-ins on the course today: Barb Rayburn hole 4, Linda Reister hole 4, April Talley hole 17, Candace Farnsworth hole 2, Linda Hahn hole 15, Nancy Judson hole 6, Nancy Parker hole 2, Carol Giffin hole 4. Nancy Judson won the KP pot with her drive landing 16’9” from the pin, hole 18.
This week, May 11,  the competition is: Throw out 3 (throw out your 3 worst holes less your full handicap). Our tee time is 9 a.m.; please check in by 8:30 a.m.
