An early morning fire on Sunday, July 17 in Manson at an apartment complex was isolated to one unit. All occupants escaped without injury. A neighbor was able to successfully knock the fire down with a garden hose from the exterior prior to the fire department arrival. Manson Fire District #5 and Chelan Fire & Rescue #7 responded to the incident. Courtesy Manson Fire District #5 Facebook On August 1, at 6:05 a.m., Manson Fire District #5 and Chelan Fire & Rescue #7 firefighters responded to a structure fire, which housed orchard equipment and a car, at the corner of Wapato Lake Road and Swartout Road.Some of the equipment and the building were damaged in the fire. Wapato Lake Road was closed at Swartout Road to all traffic during the fire operations.
