NCW Libraries Summer Library Program 2021 launched June 14

Posted

NCW - Summer is for everyone. Get started at your local library or at www.ncwlibraries.org/slp  for fun, engaging challenges, recommended reads, and virtual programs for all ages.
The primary goal of our Summer Library Program is to encourage pleasure reading among all ages across North Central Washington, to promote continued learning, and to help prepare children and teens for a successful school year.
Here are some of the ways to participate in this year’s summer program:
Challenge Pack/Reading Log
Complete challenges to find out more about what the library offers, get outside, connect with family and friends, get creative, and COLOR YOUR WORLD! Pick up challenge packs at any library location or print them out at www.ncwlibraries.org/slp.
You can be entered into a prize drawing by completing challenges and tracking your reading online using Beanstack.
All Ages Book Bingo
Read a variety of books to be entered in a prize drawing at your local library. You can pick up a Bingo sheet at any of our locations or you can print your own on the NCW Libraries webpage. Completed Book Bingo cards must be returned to a library branch in order to be entered into the prize drawing.
Summer Reads
Need a good book to read? We’ll be recommending books all summer long. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for book recommendation videos. Our Summer Reads selections will challenge you to read a variety of genres in various formats to expand your reading repertoire.
Activity Kits
Free activity kits are offered weekly at your local library, while supplies last. Follow your local library on Facebook for updates about upcoming kits.
Virtual Programs
It is our plan that all programming will be held virtually this summer. You can find our calendar of events on the website. Also check Facebook for upcoming programs
