Chelan Red Cross Blood Drive

CHELAN - There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1-6 p.m. at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church, corner of Johnson and Emerson. To make an appointment, please call 800-733-2767 or go to redcrossblood.org.

Chelan Earth Day Fair Coordinator positions open

CHELAN - St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Woodin Avenue in Chelan will have a short reflective prayer and communion service every Thursday morning in December starting on the 5th from 11 -11:30 a.m. A time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. All are welcome!

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church Community ‘Soup’ Kitchen is open every Friday, noon to 1:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Johnson and Emerson.

Healing Prayers

CHELAN - Healing Prayers is a safe, non judgmental, hope filled ministry lead by compassionate believers from multi-denominational churches with in the Chelan Valley and is endorsed by many area churches. Healing Prayers operates in the power of God’s Holy Word to seek and to save the lost and to restore the broken hearted. They trust in God’s precepts and commandments and the promises HE gives to his children; including promises to non believers who are searching for answers in their lives. The invitation is for all who are seeking prayer, healing, direction,  and restoration. Our prayers are for Gods Divine Healing, physically, emotionally & spiritually.  Delivering The Word of Hope, Encouragement, Instruction and Redemption. Location:  213 Sanders St. Chelan. Located on the Campus of the Nazarene Church and is across the street from the Fire Station. Dates: Every second and fourth Thursday of Every Month. Time: 6-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Craft bazaar

WENATCHEE - The Wenatchee High School Golden Apple Marching Band invites you to the annual Holiday Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Commons at Wenatchee High School. The Band Boosters are pleased to present this annual event featuring a large variety of vendors who sell handmade items such as holiday decor and ornaments, jewelry, soaps and lotions, baked goods, wall art and handpainted items, glassware, pottery, doll clothes, baby items, yard art, wood crafts, pottery, and much more. CHELAN - The North Cascades Sportsman’s Club Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at the Chelan PUD located at 1034 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan.

Lake Chelan Arts Council social

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Arts Council invites the community to join them for their annual Holiday Social on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. at The Vogue.  Learn about their 2019 accomplishments and find out what the art community is planning for 2020.  Meet the LCAC Board members and find out what you can do to support the arts in the Chelan Valley, all the while enjoying light appetizers and desserts.  Friends meeting friends and celebrating the arts.

NCRL, Worksource bringing Community Resources to Chelan

CHELAN - North Central Regional Library is hosting community resource specialists from WorkSource, SkillSource, Wenatchee Valley College, and OIC of Washington for office hours at the Chelan Public Library this fall. Community resource specialists will be at the Chelan Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on, December 16. During these hours, they will provide help to job seekers. The resources and services will include resume review as well as assistance searching and applying for jobs. Specialists can also help individuals determine whether they qualify for additional support in pursuing education, training, and employment. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointments are needed. Assistance will be available in English and Spanish.

The Compassionate Friends to meet

WENATCHEE - The Compassionate Friends is an organization offering friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and their families. They are bereaved parents reaching out to bereaved parents. Anyone who has had a child or loved one die in their family is invited to their monthly meeting on the third Monday of the month, 7-8:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 1408 Washington Street in Wenatchee. Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

CHELAN - Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group for Chelan/Manson is Wednesday, Dec. 18, 9 -11:00 a.m. at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room. The group is open to caregivers and loved ones with Alzheimer’s. Currently four caregivers are attending and they have room for  up to 12. Tender Loving Care Volunteers will be available to provide caregiver support (care in the home for the person with Alzheimer’s) during the meeting. CHELAN -  The Chelan Senior Center holds their monthly board meeting on the third Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Senior Center, located at 534 E. Trow Avenue in Chelan.

CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on that Sunday.

Manson American Legion Post to meet
