Conversations Around Death/Death Conversations Group
CHELAN - On the third Wednesday of each month we will meet at the Chelan Senior Center from 9-10:30 a.m. to talk about what we can do legally, emotionally, religiously, financially to prepare for our passing. This is free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Senior Center to attend. Each month there will be a different subject explored. AARP Safe Drivers Class
CHELAN - This class will be held on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. This 8 hour course and may help you to receive a discount from your car insurance company (please check with your individual agents). Cost is $15 for AARP members. $20 for non-members. This will be due at the first class and you will pay the instructor Charles Mallow. You do not need to be a Chelan Senior Center member to attend. CHELAN - The regular meeting for Chelan County Fire District #7  is now held the third Wednesday of the month, at 3 p.m. at the fire station, 232 E. Wapato Avenue. www.chelan7.com

MANSON - The Chelan County Fire District 5 Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on March 22 at 4:30 p.m. at Station 51 located at 250 W. Manson Blvd. On the agenda is the ZBA  Architects Proposal and Banquet Awards.

Story time Chelan / Manson Libraries
CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!

MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

Cancer Support Group, yoga class
CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. This class is held every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at Yogachelan.  Contact Yogachelan for more information.

The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, meets the second Tuesday of each month with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

Chamber Business After Hours
CHELAN - Layla’s is your host for Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours this month. Please join them on March 21 from 6-7 p.m. and enjoy a tasting of their current menu, with drinks available for purchase. CHELAN - The Lake Chelan United Methodist Church Community ‘Soup’ Kitchen is open every Friday, noon to 1:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Johnson and Emerson.

Baby rhymin’ time
CHELAN - Baby rhymin’ time is every Friday at 10 a.m., at the Chelan Pubic Library on Emerson Street, for ages 0-3 years. Join them for singing, dancing, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, and story telling for babies, waddlers and toddlers.

Prom dress giveaway
WENATCHEE - The Women’s Service League NCW will have a prom dress giveaway event on Saturday, March 23, 10 p.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at My Girlfriend’s Closet location, 315 9th St., in Wenatchee, former location of Hastings, across from Confluence Health.  The event is free and open to all high school students.  Students must show their Student ID to be admitted into the event. Chelan Valley Genealogy Society
CHELAN - Chelan Valley Genealogy Society (CVGS) invites you to the General Meeting on Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Chelan Methodist Church Social Room (corner of Johnson and Emerson).  This will be a workshop to help people learn how to enter their family history onto genealogy forms.  Bring your research on family members:  Your own name with birth date and where, marriage date and where, spouse’s name, birth date and where, and death date and where. 

Then other ancestor names such as siblings and grandparents, with similar dates and places.  Forms will be provided.  Instruction and help will be given.

MANSON - The Manson Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, March 27, 8:30 a.m., in the Manson Parks office on Pedoi.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group
CHELAN - A monthly Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group (Alzheimer’s Café) for Chelan/Manson, will start Wednesday, March 27, 9-11 a.m. (4th Wednesday of each month) at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room (lower floor). The group is open to caregivers and loved ones with Alzheimer’s. Tender Loving Care Volunteers will be available to provide caregiver support (care in the home for the person with Alzheimer’s) during the meeting. Potluck dinner
CHELAN - Berean Baptist Church has a potluck dinner after the morning service on the last Sunday of every month. The church is located at 515.  E. Woodin Ave. There will be no evening service on that Sunday.
