March 7: California Chicken, Casserole, Lettuce Tomato Salad, Waldorf Salad, Cheesy Biscuit and Dessert.  March 8: Beef Tacos, Spanish Rice, Spiced Salad, Mandarin Oranges and Dessert. March 11:  Lasagna, Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Pears, Bread Sticks and Dessert. March 12: Pork Roast, Stuffing & Gravy, Roasted Cauliflower, Spinach Salad, Whole Wheat  Bread or Roll, and Peach Cobbler. March 13: Quiche, Capri Vegetables, Crunchy Pea Salad, Grapes and Blueberry Muffin.

St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner

CHELAN - Chelan Senior Center is opening its door for its annual St. Patrick’s Day “Corned Beef and Cabbage” dinner. This will take place on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. Cost will be $10 per person. This is a BYOB if you would like to bring an alcoholic beverage to accompany your dinner. We will be serving corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, bread and butter. Always available is coffee and tea. Please RSVP to the Senior Center at 682-2712 or csc@nwi.net. Seating is limited. EliAnn will be playing the fiddle again for your listening pleasure.

Public forum on Leffler Field acqusition
MANSON - The Leffler Field committee will hold a public forum to hear the public’s comments on the development of the property on March 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Manson Grange.

Manson Mingle
MANSON - This is your invitation to join the Manson Chamber of Commerce’s Manson Mingle starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at Lake Chelan Winery, located at 3519 Highway 150. Everyone is welcome to attend. Jeff Conwell, Manson Chamber president will share what is ahead for the Chamber in 2019.

CHELAN - The North Cascades Sportsman’s Club Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at the Chelan PUD located at 1034 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan.

Story time Chelan / Manson Libraries
CHELAN - Story time is every Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chelan Public Library located on Emerson Street. Join them for singing, dancing, clapping, music making as well as reading. It’s both fun and educational!
MANSON - Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. the Manson Community Library offers a story time for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.  Join the group for a half hour of stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and other activities.  For more information call the library at 687-3420.

Cancer Support Group, yoga class
CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. This class is held every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at Yogachelan.  Contact Yogachelan for more information.

The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, meets the second Tuesday of each month with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

City of Chelan Town Hall Meeting
CHELAN - The City of Chelan will hold a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, March 7, 6-8 p.m. at the Chelan Senior Center, 534 E. Trow Avenue. Topic will be: Wildfire Prevention and Protection.  Bring your neighbors. Are you prepared together for this year’s fire season? Come learn about resources available to help you reduce wildfire around your property from: City of Chelan, Chelan Fire and Rescue, Cascadia Conservation District and the U.S. Forest Service.

CHELAN - VFW Post #6853 Auxiliary meets the second Friday of the month at the Apple Cup Cafe at 2 p.m. Anyone interested in joining can call Carol Palmbush at 682-5624.

Friends of Public Library to meet
CHELAN - Chelan Friends of the Public Library will have their board and  member meeting on Monday, March 11, 7 p.m., at the Chelan Public Library meeting room, 216 N. Emerson St. All are welcome. They will be planning their Earth Day Book Sale.  For more info call 682-1172.

Senior Living Initiative meeting
CHELAN - The next Senior Living Initiative Meeting (SLI) will be held Wednesday, March 13, 5-6:30 p.m. at the PUD Conference Room on Woodin Avenue in Chelan.  The meeting schedule has been changed to one SLI meeting every three months. They welcome all interested in learning about the proposed Senior Living facility, Tender Loving Care program (TLC) and the Community Nurse program

The Compassionate Friends to meet
WENATCHEE - The Compassionate Friends is an organization offering friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and their families. They are bereaved parents reaching out to bereaved parents. Anyone who has had a child or loved one die in their family is invited to their monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 18, 7-8:30 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 1408 Washington Street in Wenatchee. Manson Community Council
MANSON - The Manson Community Council meets the third Tuesday of every month, 6 p.m. at the Manson Park Office on Pedoi Street. All are welcome to attend.

Chelan Fire District meeting
CHELAN - The regular meeting for Chelan County Fire District #7  is now held the third Wednesday of the month, at 3 p.m. at the fire station, 232 E. Wapato Avenue. www.chelan7.com
