Cancer Support Group, yoga class

CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. Chelan Public Library hosting ‘Gallery of Legacies’

CHELAN - The exhibit “Galley of Legacies” opened at the Chelan Public Library on April 20 and runs until May 17.  On display will be the artwork of seven local artists with their impressions of the character and spirit of Heritage Heights’ residents.  The project is a collaboration of the Lake Chelan Arts Council and Heritage Heights to honor the lives of seniors and the value that they give to us.  After the exhibition, the “Gallery of Legacies” will be on display in the hallways of Heritage Heights. Barbara Koenig of the Lake Chelan Arts Council, is coordinating the artist volunteers.  Contact her at

WENATCHEE - The Chelan Douglas CASA Program is hosting an informational evening in the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce office on May 22 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CASA Volunteers are Court Appointed Special Advocates - powerful voices for children who have been abused or neglected.  This is a great time to speak with staff and volunteers about the role of a CASA and have questions answered.
