Cancer Support Group, yoga class

CHELAN - Wellness/Restorative yoga, a guided practice of gentle yoga postures and movement designed for cancer survivors, individuals living with acute or chronic illnesses, and caregivers is available at no charge. This class is held every Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. at Yogachelan.  Contact Yogachelan for more information.

The Women’s Wellness Group, cancer support group, meets the second Tuesday of each month with lunch provided by the Wenatchee Wellness Place, at the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Board Room at 11:45 a.m.  For more information, contact Anne at 682-8718.

CHELAN -  The Chelan Senior Center will hold their monthly board meeting on Wednesday, April 3 at 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, located at 534 E. Trow Avenue in Chelan.

CHELAN - The North Cascades Sportsman’s Club Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at the Chelan PUD located at 1034 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan.

MANSON - The American Legion in Manson meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Manson Parks Building, 142 Pedoi.

Chelan Public Library hosting ‘Gallery of Legacies’

CHELAN - The exhibit “Galley of Legacies” opened at the Chelan Public Library on April 20 and runs until May 17.  On display will be the artwork of seven local artists with their impressions of the character and spirit of Heritage Heights’ residents.  The project is a collaboration of the Lake Chelan Arts Council and Heritage Heights to honor the lives of seniors and the value that they give to us.  After the exhibition, the “Gallery of Legacies” will be on display in the hallways of Heritage Heights. Barbara Koenig of the Lake Chelan Arts Council, is coordinating the artist volunteers.  Contact her at chelanmst@aol.com.

Spaghetti feed for veterans

CHELAN - The Chelan VFW #6853 will hold a spaghetti feed for veterans and their families on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Chelan Senior Center, 534 E. Trow Avenue in Chelan. For more information contact call Post Commander Steve Palmbush at (509) 670-3346.

Informational meeting

WENATCHEE - The Chelan Douglas CASA Program is hosting an informational evening in the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce office on May 22 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CASA Volunteers are Court Appointed Special Advocates - powerful voices for children who have been abused or neglected.  This is a great time to speak with staff and volunteers about the role of a CASA and have questions answered.
