Lake Chelan Historical Society annual meeting April 16

CHELAN - The Historical Society’s annual meeting on April 16, 7 p.m. will host Steve Byquist of KOZI fame.  He will cover some of the events over the 25 year period of his association with the radio station, from 1970 to 1995.  Come hear his stories and maybe add to them.
 Besides Steve Byquist’s presentation, there will be business of the society to conduct. President Jane Lloyd will report on the year’s events and financial status, and the Volunteer of the Year will be recognized. Also, a vote will be conducted on the nominations of the Board of Directors: Dick Simonds, Jane Lloyd, Linda Martinson are up for re-election. Any current member interested in serving on the board can be nominated from the floor.
 The annual History Notes will be distributed, free to members. This year’s articles cover the 1918 flu epidemic, the Holden Mine story, Wapato John, and more. Anyone who does not attend the meeting may pick up a copy beginning the following day (April 17).
