Recycle your Christmas tree
CHELAN/ENTIAT - If you are a city of Chelan resident, you can drop your tree off at Don Morse Park (by the marina). The city will recycle the trees; the annual Winterfest bonfire has been cancelled. When dropping off your tree, please make sure it is free of all tinsel and decorations. The brush drop-off site at the Chelan Transfer Station is open winter hours Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Typical fees apply. 
Cross-country, downhill ski reports
ECHO RIDGE: For the latest grooming report go to lakechelannordic.org. Passes are required. Season passes and Nordic Club memberships can be purchased online at LakeChelanNordic.org. Use your receipt for proof of payment until you receive your season pass in the mail. Day passes can be purchased for $10 per person 18 years and older at the trailhead with cash or check.
ECHO VALLEY: Echo Valley Ski area is open for the season. They are open weekends and holidays throughout the ski season, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For more info: skiechovalley.com.
Rotary scholarship fundraisers:  Jan. 31
Bids being taken on “Early Morning Waters” canvas print
CHELAN - Stop by the Lake Chelan Chamber office now through Jan. 31 to view or bid on the beautiful “Early Morning Waters”, a 28” x 71” canvas photo of Lake Chelan. Bidding proceeds will benefit the Lake Chelan Rotary’s Scholarship Fundraiser. 
For over two decades Lake Chelan Rotary has been honored to provide college scholarships to both Manson and Lake Chelan high school students. Rotary typically holds a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise over $20,000 in annual scholarship funding. By providing a donation of any amount – whether it be $5 or $500 – to the Lake Chelan Rotary Scholarship Fund, you will be making a difference. Donations can be made online at www.lakechelanrotary.org or checks made payable to Lake Chelan Rotary Scholarship Fund can be sent to PO Box 601, Chelan WA, 98816. All donations made to The Lake Chelan Scholarship Fund are tax deductible. 
‘What’s Up Vet!’ - Informational Zoom meetings: Jan. 14, 19, 21
NCW - All Chelan and Douglas County veterans are invited to attend the new “What’s Up Vet!” informational meetings via Zoom. Every Tuesday/Thursday from 2-4 p.m. Open to vets, spouses, dependents and anyone with questions regarding veteran benefits and resources. Manson Park & Recreation: Jan. 14 
MANSON - The Manson Park & Recreation board of directors will meet in Thursday, Jan. 14, at 4:10 p.m. via a phone in meeting. For more information call 687-9635.
Cascadia Conservation District: Jan. 14

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. 
Chelan County PUD: Jan.18
WENATCHEE -  The Chelan County Public Utility District board of commissioners, will meet on January 4 and 18 at 10 a.m., in virtual meetings. For more information: chelanpud.org
Fundraiser swim for Lake Chelan Swim: Jan. 17
MANSON - There will be a swim to raise money for Lake Chelan Swim on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at the swim area at Manson Bay Park in downtown Manson. Please wear your mask except when in the water and observe social distancing. Those wishing to donate can go to lakechelanswim.com. All donations go directly to fund swim lessons at the park.
 
Manson Community Council: Jan. 19
MANSON - The next Manson Community Council meeting will be held Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. at Blueberry Hills.   Agenda will be posted on their Facebook page, closer to the meeting date. Monthly meetings are held every third Tuesday of each month. 
Entiat School Board: Jan. 19

City of Chelan Council: Jan. 26
CHELAN - The Chelan City Council and Lake Chelan Airport Board will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 26, beginning at 6 p.m. via video conferencing. Council is encouraging citizens to listen from home. For more information:  cityofchelan.us
Lake Chelan School District: Jan. 26 
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan School District board of directors will meet at 6 p.m. on Jan. 26. This meeting will be available to the  Board of Directors and community members via video conferencing.  If you would like to attend this meeting via phone or computer, please contact Georgia Mashayekh prior to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, to learn how to connect. Because of the format of the meeting, public comments and questions for the school board must be submitted to Georgia Mashayekh before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Health board of commissioners (formerly Lake Chelan Community Hospital & Clinics) will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 1:30 via zoom. For more information go to www.lakechelanhealth.com. They meet the 4th Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted. 
American Legion Post #108: Feb. 1
MANSON - American Legion Post #108 meets the first Monday of each month unless it falls on a holiday then it goes to second Monday. The next meeting will be held in the Hub at North Shore Bible Church, beginning at 7 p.m.
