The  time for Santa Neighborhood Tours in Chelan on Friday has been changed to 4 p.m., due to the fact that school is back in session.
Santa will be visiting South Chelan, Apple Acres neighborhood by the airport and Chelan Falls this Friday, Dec. 4, starting at 4 p.m. The parade will start at the Chelan Fire Station.

 
Echo Ridge grooming report
ECHO RIDGE: The following trails were groomed on Nov. 25, without tracks: Tootsie Roll, Lollipop, Lot to Lot, Nuthatch, Alley Oop, Windsinger, Zippidy, Upsy Daisy and Chickadee. Passes are now required. Season passes and Nordic Club memberships can be purchased online at LakeChelanNordic.org. Use your receipt for proof of payment until you receive your season pass in the mail. Day passes can be purchased for $10 per person 18 years and older at the trailhead with cash or check. Coats for kids
CHELAN -  Chelan Fire & Rescue is collecting new and softly worn winter coats for kids at 232 East Wapato Ave., for Chelan Valley Hope. The bucket will be inside the front entrance of the fire hall. Those who want to donate will need to ring the doorbell and someone will let you in to the foyer of the building to make your donation.
 
‘Whats Up Vet!’ - Informational Zoom meetings: Dec. 3, 8

CHELAN/MANSON - The Historic Downtown Chelan Association teamed up the Lake Chelan Wine Alliance, the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and More to Manson to create a series of new activities and events for the holiday season. Lots of shopping, dining, wine tasting, and holiday fun for the whole family in the Lake Chelan Valley thru Dec. 19.
Lightened boat parade, fireworks
In another first, the Lady of the Lake will be the Grand Marshal of the Holiday Lights Boat Parade.  The Lady will be joined by other notable boats from Chelan County Marine Patrol and Chelan Fire District Marine 71. The Lake Chelan boating community is invited to be part of this event.  Boats wishing to join should creatively light up your boat and be stationed close to the Chelan Boat Company dock just southwest of downtown Chelan.  Being part of the parade is also a great way to watch the weekly fireworks show that will start at 5:30 p.m. Parade dates and times are:   Dec. 5 departing at 4:30 p.m. (Manson Fireworks); Dec. 12 departing at 4:30 p.m. (Chelan Fireworks); Dec. 19 departing at 4:30 p.m. (Manson Fireworks); Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. (Chelan Fireworks at 9 p.m.)

Santa Neighborhood Tours every Friday in Chelan starting at 4 p.m. and Saturday in Manson, starting at 3 p.m., Wine Barrel Train Rides 1 p.m. in Downtown Manson every Saturday, Holiday Lights at the Lake Driving Tour, and Historic Downtown Chelan Parade of Windows Competition. Small Town Holiday events and activities have been designed with current health and safety restrictions in mind so patrons have a safe and enjoyable experience in the Lake Chelan valley.

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution continues to be drive-thru. The Lake Chelan Food Bank is located at 417 S. Bradley Street.

Manson Community Council 
Elections: Dec. 8
MANSON - Manson Community Council Elections will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, between 12 noon and 7 p.m. at Manson Parks Department on Pedoi Street. Community members wishing to vote must have a valid ID with them at time of voting. Results will be posted on Manson Community Council’s Facebook Page that evening . New members will be sworn in at the Dec. 15, meeting.
 
Lake Chelan Reclamation District election: Dec. 8
MANSON - Lake Chelan Reclamation District will hold  a board election on Tuesday, Dec. 8,  1-8 p.m., at the district office located at 80 Wapato Way, to elect two at-large directors for a three-year term.  COVID prevention protocols will be followed, masks are required. To be able to vote district landowners must be 18 years old, being a citizen of the United States and a resident of the state and who holds title or evidence of title to assessable land in the district. The results of the election will be canvassed and certified by the Board of Directors 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at the office of the District. Lake Chelan School District: Dec. 8 
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan School District board of directors will meet at 6 p.m. on Dec. 8. This meeting will be available to the  Board of Directors and community members via video conferencing.  If you would like to attend this meeting via phone or computer, please contact Georgia Mashayekh prior to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, to learn how to connect. Because of the format of the meeting, public comments and questions for the school board must be submitted to Georgia Mashayekh before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

CHELAN - VFW Post #6853 Auxiliary meets the second Friday of the month at the VFW Post Clubhouse at 427 S. Bradley Street (near Chelan Valley Hope). The next meeting will be Friday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. 
 
Manger Mall: Dec. 12
CHELAN/MANSON - The 12th annual Manger Mall will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the North Shore Bible Church in Manson, as a drive-through event.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to wave and say hi to the children, Christmas music will be playing and they will even have a lighted Christmas tree. Thanks to the generous donations made by so many local organizations and individuals, the Manger Mall Team will be purchasing Lake Chelan Chamber Bucks Gift Certificates for all registered children. Manson Community Council: Dec. 15
MANSON - The next Manson Community Council meeting will be held Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at Blueberry Hills.   Agenda will be posted on their Facebook page, closer to the meeting. Monthly meetings are held every third Tuesday of each month. 
 
Lake Chelan Health board: Dec. 15
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Health board of commissioners (formerly Lake Chelan Community Hospital & Clinics) will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 1:30 via zoom. For more information go to www.lakechelanhealth.com. They normally meet the 4th Tuesday of the month. 
 
City of Chelan Council: Dec. 15
