ECHO RIDGE: For the latest grooming report go to lakechelannordic.org. Passes are required. Season passes and Nordic Club memberships can be purchased online at LakeChelanNordic.org. Use your receipt for proof of payment until you receive your season pass in the mail. Day passes can be purchased for $10 per person 18 years and older at the trailhead with cash or check.
ECHO VALLEY: Echo Valley Ski area is open for the season. They are open weekends and holidays throughout the ski season, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For more info: skiechovalley.com.
NCW Libraries
CHELAN/MANSON/ENTIAT - NCW Libraries have currently closed its 30 libraries for in-person visits in accordance with updated state guidelines for public libraries. While the NCW Libraries are closed, they will continue to offer and expand Curbside pickup hours at all libraries, continue operating its Mail Order Library, and all virtual services and programs. 
 In 2020, the library district expanded online resources, allowing more checkouts of digital materials including eBooks, movies and offering a wide array of virtual services, and programs for all ages including bilingual storytimes, author talks, reading programs, job-hunting help in partnership with WorkSource, and more. Kahiau Volleyball Athletes raffle: 
Sales thru Feb. 15
CHELAN/MANSON - The local Kahiau Volleyball Athletes are selling raffle tickets for their annual “Beverage Basket Raffle” to raise funds to pay for each of the athlete’s player fees, tournament fees and gear. Tickets are $4 each or 3 for $10. Tickets will be drawn on Feb. 18. There are 10 amazing Gift Baskets filed with bottles of wine, hard cider, apple cider, hot chocolate, mugs, wine glasses, gift certificates and more. 100 percent of the sales goes to their fund. To buy tickets or make a donation, reach out to an athlete they know or Des Phelps at Kahiau Volleyballkahiauvbc@outlook.com.  Any Club donations will go towards gear and towards the new Community Center in which will host the new sand courts.
P.E.O. Scholarship Opportunity: 
April 30 deadline 
NCW - Applications are now being accepted for the Upper Valley Scholarship supported by P.E.O. Chapter JF, Leavenworth.   The purpose of the scholarship is to assist women in need of financial help return to higher education in an accredited university, college or technical school in the State of Washington.  This needs-based scholarship must be used for school expenses and will be paid directly to the school. Applications must be received for consideration by April 30, 2021.  Scholarship funds will be available by the Fall of 2021, and be sent directly to the school financial department upon confirmation of enrollment. Women applicants must be seeking further higher education at either the undergraduate or graduate level in one of the following ways:
• Applicant must be age 30 or above and reside in Chelan or Douglas County
• Applicant must be currently enrolled in, or returning to, a higher education program after a two-year or more absence.
‘What’s Up Vet!’ - Zoom meetings:

Manson Community Council: Feb. 16
MANSON - The next Manson Community Council meeting will be held Feb. 16, at 1 p.m., via Zoom. Red Cross Blood Drive: Feb. 17 
Chelan - An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Feb. 17, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church, corner of Johnson Avenue and Emerson Street. To make an appointment visit  RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.  Blood and platelet donors can save time at their next donation by using RapidPass® to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive. City of Chelan Council: Feb. 23
