Over 40 murals and sculptures
CHELAN -  The Lake Chelan Arts Council Outdoor Gallery brochure is available at the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce. Follow the Outdoor Gallery map to discover and enjoy over 40 murals and sculptures located throughout Chelan and Manson. Chelan Museum: Dec. 30-31 
CHELAN - December hours for the  Lake Chelan Museum will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday-Friday. They will be closed January and February of 2022, and open by appointment only. They will re-open March 1, 2022. Face masks are required for all those visiting the museum.
 
 New Years Eve fireworks:  Dec. 31
CHELAN  – New Years Eve fireworks will be shot off from Don Morse Park on Friday, Dec. 31 beginning at  9 p.m. Prior to that the Lake of the Lake will lead a boat parade on the lake.
Glass recycle: Jan. 1
Volunteers needed
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank  food

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 131 S. Apple Blossom Drive, Ste. 109 (Chelan Business Center.
 
Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts:  Jan. 3
 WENTCHEE/ZOOM - Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts is inviting heart patients and their families in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties to attend the Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts Holiday Celebration being held by Zoom on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.  Danielle Slatton, Cardiology Nurse Navigator from Confluence Health, will speak about “The Role of a Nurse Navigator in Helping Heart Failure Patients.”   To attend, email: atthehelmsters@hotmail.com for access to the meeting.

CHELAN - Chelan Friends of the Public Library will have their Annual Member Meeting on Tuesday, Jan.4, 2022 4 p.m. at the Chelan Public Library meeting room. CHELAN - Lake Chelan EMS will have a COVID-19 Vaccine Drive-thru Clinic on Saturday, January 8, 2022, 9 -11 a.m. at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Ave., Chelan. Registration is available at https://lakechelanhealth.org/covid-19/
