Chelan Museum: Dec. 30-31
CHELAN - December hours for the Lake Chelan Museum will be 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday-Friday. They will be closed January and February of 2022, and open by appointment only. They will re-open March 1, 2022. Face masks are required for all those visiting the museum.
New Years Eve fireworks: Dec. 31
CHELAN – New Years Eve fireworks will be shot off from Don Morse Park on Friday, Dec. 31 beginning at 9 p.m. Prior to that the Lake of the Lake will lead a boat parade on the lake.
Glass recycle: Jan. 1
Volunteers needed
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities.
