Over 40 murals and sculptures
CHELAN -  The Lake Chelan Arts Council Outdoor Gallery brochure is available at the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce. Follow the Outdoor Gallery map to discover and enjoy over 40 murals and sculptures located throughout Chelan and Manson. For information about the Arts Council, local art events and artists, with links to  local and international art museums and other resources, their website, artinchelan.com, offers local artists and the community an opportunity to “Celebrate Art!”.
Mobile Food 
Pantry: Jan. 13
MANSON - The Mobile Food Pantry is coming to Manson on Thursday, January 13 from noon to 2 p.m. It will be staged in the North Shore Bible Church parking lot, 123 Wapato Point Parkway. All are welcome. 
Winter Art Exhibit: Jan. 14-Feb. 27
MANSON - The Lake Chelan Arts Council Winter Art Exhibit, will be held at Radiance Downtown, 71 Wapato Way, in Manson. The art show and sale will open on January 14 and continue every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through February 27. Check www.radiancewinery.com for hours.  The theme of the show is “Artist’s Choice” and the Arts Council is expecting a wide variety of artworks will be on exhibit for the Chelan Valley community and its many visitors to enjoy. Glass recycle:

Volunteers needed
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank  food distribution:

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 131 S. Apple Blossom Drive, Ste. 109 (Chelan Business Center.
 
COVID-19 
Vaccine Clinics: Jan. 22, Feb. 5
CHELAN - Lake Chelan EMS will have a COVID-19 Vaccine Drive-thru Clinics on Saturday, January 22, 3-5 p.m., and on Saturday, February 5, 9-11 a.m., at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Ave., Chelan. Registration is available at https://lakechelanhealth.org/covid-19/
 
Viki Downey 
Polar Bear Plunge: Jan. 23
MANSON - Brave souls are wanted for the 4th Annual Viki Downey Polar Bear Plunge on Sunday, January 23, 12:30-2 p.m. at Manson Bay Park, 142 Pedoi Street in Manson. The event raises funds for Lake Chelan Swim Lessons and will be held on the last weekend of Winterfest 2022. Check in and get ready to plunge in the lake, turn in any cash donations and have a group photo taken at 12:30 p.m. Then wait for the official count down and follow Viki  Downey into Lake Chelan at 1 p.m. before returning to shore where you will receive an “I survived the Polar Bear Swim” wristband, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, or coffee, then huddle around the bonfire to warm up.  Challenge your friends to make a donation to Lake Chelan Swim in your name.  Donations can be made online, mailed to Lake Chelan Swim, P.O. Box 159, Chelan, WA 98816 or in person on the day of the plunge. All donations go directly to fund free swim lessons to hundreds of kids in the Lake Chelan Valley every year.
