Over 40 murals and sculptures
CHELAN -  The Lake Chelan Arts Council Outdoor Gallery brochure is available at the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce. Follow the Outdoor Gallery map to discover and enjoy over 40 murals and sculptures located throughout Chelan and Manson. For information about the Arts Council, local art events and artists, with links to  local and international art museums and other resources, their website, artinchelan.com, offers local artists and the community an opportunity to “Celebrate Art!”.

Chelan Museum: March 10-12
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Historical Society has reopened the Chelan Museum in Historic Downtown Chelan, at the corner of Woodin Avenue and Emerson Street. Hours will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Mobile Food Pantry: March 10
MANSON - The Mobile Food Pantry will be at North Shore Bible Church this Thursday, March 10, noon- 2 p.m. All are welcome. This will be a regular stop every second Thursday of the month.

Chelan Senior Menu: March 10-16
CHELAN - The Chelan Senior Center at 534 E. Trow Avenue, hosts Senior Meals Monday-Friday. Suggested donation for seniors over age 60 is $4. Fee for persons under age 60 is $10. Glass recycle: March 12
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from WalMart, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Food Bank food distribution:
March 12, 15
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 131 S. Apple Blossom Drive, Ste. 109 (Chelan Business Center.)
Alzheimer’s Support Group: March 17
CHELAN - With the support of Aging and Adults and Tender Loving Care for Seniors, an Alzheimer’s Support Group for Chelan/Manson area will restart Thursday, March 17, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s. Meetings will be the 3rd Thursday of the month at Chelan Valley Hope, 417 S. Bradley Street, Chelan. Aging and Adults is providing the facilitator, Bob Poindexter, who has great experience in leading support groups. Please join them to be encouraged on this journey. Top Dog Parade: March 19
CHELAN - The Wayne Kelly Memorial Top Dog Parade will be held Saturday, March 19 at noon in downtown Chelan. Get your costumes in order. Head to downtown Chelan and watch as dogs dressed up in their finest St. Patty’s Day outfits are guided through main street by their owners, while a parade of live music and local organizations follow. The line up starts behind Wells Fargo at 11:30 a.m. For more information, visit HistoricChelan.org
Shamrock Shuffle 5k Fun Run:
March 19
CHELAN - The Shamrock Shuffle, a 5k Fun Run will be held on Saturday, March 19 starting at Riverwalk Park, 117 E. Wapato Avenue in Chelan. Registration will be 8:30 a.m.-9:15 a.m., with the event beginning at 9:30 a.m. Adults, 19 and older $25; students, 10-18 and college $15; and children nine and under free. Late registration fee after March 10. Register at http://bit.ly/ss5km19. The Lake Chelan Lions Club in partnership with Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation are planning the fun run. A portion of the proceeds will fund scholarships for children to attend Camp Leo, a summer camp for children with diabetes (http://bit.ly/CLeao4D)
