Chelan Museum: Oct. 27-30 
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Face masks are required for all those visiting the museum. The museum has been refreshed with paint, displays and signage and check out the 12 ft. tall Lake Chelan Historic Legend Map display. A 24” x 36” poster based on the display is available for purchase for $30. The Epson photo print depicts the lake in a vertical format along with relevant historic entries. Take a peek in the gift store and buy their latest 50th Anniversary History Notes or a Lake Chelan Historic Legend Map.
 
Chelan Evening Farmers Market: 
Oct. 28
CHELAN -  Chelan Thursday Evening Farmers market is open thru Oct. 28, 2-6 p.m. and has expanded into Riverwalk Park. With more than 20 vendors and two food trucks, browse fresh, locally grown produce and a variety of goods from local  artisans. Although this is a farmer-centric market, there is so much more. Enjoy the entertainment, picnic on prepared food or fresh  fruit and vegetables. Per Health Department guidelines vendors will be masked and providing hand sanitizer throughout the market, for your safety. The market is located on the corner of S. Glass recycle: Oct.30
Volunteers needed - new hours in Nov.
CHELAN - Rotary of Lake Chelan 911 Glass Rescue is open on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m.-noon, at 23235 Highway 97A across from Walmart. Starting Nov. 6, they will be open  10 a.m. to noon, weather permitting. They are charging a small fee per pound for glass drop-off. Buckets of the materials produced, sand and aggregate, will be available for purchase at $5 per 5-gallon bucket. City of Chelan residents are asked not to put glass into their blue recycle bins, but to bring it out on Saturday mornings. Their all-volunteer team relies on support from members of the community to make the operation run smoothly every week. They have tasks suitable for all ages and abilities. Chelan Friends of the Library: Nov. 2
CHELAN - The Chelan Friends of the Public Library will meet on Tuesday, November 2, 4 p.m. at the Chelan Library meeting room. Anyone interested in helping to contribute to the success of the Chelan Library as a valuable community resource are welcome. For more information, Pat LaPorte, 682-1172.
 
Food Bank  food distribution: 
Oct. 30, Nov. 2 
CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Food Bank food giveaway is on Saturday and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. Distribution is  drive-thru. They are located at 417 S. Bradley Street. The Food Bank is getting requests for pet food. Small bags of dog food are best. They can be dropped of at the Lake Chelan Mirror office, 310 E. Johnson Avenue in the tub outside.
 
‘Car-Stume’s, Trunk n’ Treat: 
Oct. 31 (Halloween)
CHELAN - The Historic Downtown Chelan Association (HDCA) invites you to drive through a ghostly downtown to receive Halloween goody bags on Sunday, October 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.  Vehicles will stage in the Chelan High School parking lot and proceed to Woodin Avenue to cross the old bridge and enter downtown. Spooky décor and haunted characters await as you drive through historic downtown. You will have the opportunity to enter the “Car-stume” Contest if you wish, and then will receive your Trick-or-Treat goody bags at the end of the processional.  More info www.historicchelan.org 
MANSON - On Sunday, October 31, 4:30-6:00 p.m., North Shore Bible Church will host Trunk n’ Treat. Looking for a safe place to take your kids on Halloween. Trunk n’ Treat is an event sponsored by North Shore Bible Church and the Manson Chamber of Commerce that provides that safe space and lots of fun.
 
Día De Los Muertos: Nov. 1
CHELAN - Starting Monday, November 1, the downtown area will be decorated with altars, artwork, educational pieces, marigold garlands, and luminaries, celebrating Día De Los Muertos. There will also be a parade downtown on November 2 at 6 p.m.  More info historicchelan.org
 
Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts: 
Nov. 1
WENATCHEE -  Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts is inviting heart patients and their families in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties to attend the Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts Meeting being held by Zoom on Monday, November 1, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m..  The guest speaker will be Matt Slager, Cardiology Integrated Clinical Pharmacist of Confluence Health. Holiday bazaar/bake sale: Nov. 5-6
ENTIAT - Entiat Friends Church 2nd annual Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale,  will be held at Entiat Friends Church, 2848 Entiat River Road, 1/4 mile up Entiat River Road on Friday, Nov. 5 and Sat., Nov. 6, 9 a.m,.-4 p.m. Lots of homemade items, wood products, fiber art, jewelry, Christmas items, bake goods, homemade fudge, a raffle table and more. Veterans’ Day Parade: Nov. 11
CHELAN - The Veterans’ Day Parade, put on by VFW Post 6853 will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. (11th hour/11th Day/11th month). Bring your flag, be proud, and show your patriotism. Come celebrate with the Veterans’ of our community at Chelan’s annual Veterans’ Day Parade along Woodin Avenue. The parade will line up on Woodin Avenue by the U.S. Forest Service headquarters, come across the old bridge, go up Woodin Avenue, turn right onto Sanders Street and end at the Chelan Fire Station (corner of Sanders and Wapato). Immediately following the parade the Chelan Fire and Rescue #7 will provide a barbeque lunch to all the Veterans’ at no charge. Others are welcome to join them for lunch. Suggested $5 donation.
