Thursday Evening Farmers Market

CHELAN -  Chelan Thursday Evening Farmers market is open now thru the end of September, 4-7 p.m. There will be  handwashing stations for customers and vendors. They will operate within a modified layout with one-way foot traffic procedures. They will limit the sale of food to whole produce and pre-packaged food items and ensure all ready-to-eat foods are packaged for home consumption only. Vendors will wear a mask and gloves throughout the market and sanitize hands between food handling and payment transactions. CEFM customers are asked to: Send only one person per household to the market, when possible. Leave pets at home. Wash or sanitize hands before entering the farmers market and wear a cloth face covering in the market, as well as protective gloves. The market is located on the corner of S. Emerson and Wapato Streets, between the Riverwalk Inn and Riverwalk Park. For info: www.chelanfarmersmarket.org
 
American Legion food bank drive: June 20
 
CHELAN/MANSON -  American Legion  Post# 108 will hold a food and monetary drive for the Lake Chelan Food Bank on Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Chelan IGA Market and Manson Bay Market. 
 
Manson Farmers Market: June 20, 24
 
MANSON - The Manson Farmers Market will be opening their summer season Saturday,  June 20, and will hold market each Wednesday and Saturday through September.   Sales begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until approximately noon.  All required safety procedures will be followed- hand sanitized at entrance, social distancing and masks recommended for shoppers. All vendors will be wearing masks and using hand sanitizer.
 
LDS, Chelan Fresh distribute potatoes, apples, onions: June 20
 
CHELAN - Volunteers at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in partnership with Chelan Fresh,  are distributing boxes of potatoes, apples and onions from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 20, at the church, located at 195 W. Manson Hwy.  Other locations include Brewster, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, and East Wenatchee.
 
Bass  Tournament: June 20
 
BREWSTER – The Okanogan County Bass Club and Mauk Fishing Stuff have teamed up to bring the Lure Safe Open Bass Tournament to Brewster on Saturday, June 20.
The one-day event, sponsored by Mauk is open to the public with pre-registration available by 3 p.m., June 19. Entry forms and information are available online at okanoganvalleybassclub.com, and contacts can be made at okanoganvalleybassclub@gmail.com or 509-322-2951.
Boats will blast off from the Brewster boat launch and can fish from Wells Dam to Chief Joseph Dam on the Columbia River and to Malott on the Okanogan River.
