Junior Service League of Wenatchee changes name to ‘Women’s Service League of NCW’

Open to all women in North Central WA

WENATCHEE - The Junior Service League of Wenatchee has changed its name to Women's Service League of NCW effective immediately. Its first event under that new moniker is Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Celebrating 10 years, the local women’s volunteer-based nonprofit kicks off its new year with a Summer Membership Social on Sept. 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Pybus Public Market. New and prospective members are welcome to come and learn about the organization and its incredible projects, such as Diaper Drive, My Girlfriend’s Closet, Prom Dress Giveaway and Touch a Truck.

As if starting a new year was not exciting enough for this group, Junior Service League of Wenatchee will also showcase a new name. It will now be known as Women’s Service League of NCW. “The name change comes with the vision of making this group inclusive of all women throughout North Central WA,” said Theresa Filbeck, WSL President. The change comes with a new visual brand and improved website to launch this month. A new logo of WSL of NCW features a woman in a cape, symbolic of all the extraordinary tasks that the women of this group take on, focusing on making a difference in NCW.
