Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors elects new officers

CHELAN – The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce elected three of its Board Members to serve as Board Officers. Board Officers are elected to serve a one-year term ending  December 31, 2019.

The newly elected Chamber Board Officers will apply their experience and expertise to help  guide the organization’s Board of Directors. The new Officers are:

President Sandy Calicoat, broker, Caliber Home Loans. Calicoat has served on the Board of Director for two years.
Sandy has been in the residential mortgage industry as a loan officer for over 20 years. Sandy and her husband have lived in the valley for the past 17 years.

She is involved with many community activities and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Lake Chelan Rotary. Sandy feels giving back to the community and helping the Chelan Valley businesses in whatever way the Lake Chelan Chamber can assist with or promote is very important.

Vice-president Ben Williams. Ben Williams is co-owner and CFO of two wineries, two restaurants and a hard cider business in Lake Chelan. Prior to settling in the Chelan area, he was an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and later worked in Corporate Finance for Amazon.com inc. Ben is a native of Spokane, and lives with his wife of 20 years, April Williams, and three teenage kids, Steven, Alexis and  Benjy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the United States Military  Academy at West Point and a MBA from Duke University. Ben has been on the Lake Chelan  Chamber Board for five years and is in his second year as vice-president. He is a highly sought after Trivia Night teammate and if you challenge him to “name that tune”, he will win.

Secretary/Treasurer Adam Rynd, owner, Coldwell Banker and Sage Vacation Rentals.
Adam grew up in the Seattle area, vacationed in Chelan as a child, and made Chelan his home in 2012. After graduating from the University of Washington, Adam began a career in the software industry. He now owns and manages several successful family businesses in Central Washington with his wife Kelli, including Swim World, Sage Vacation Rentals, and Coldwell Banker Lake Chelan Properties, the premier real estate firm in Central Washington with offices in Chelan, Brewster, and Winthrop. Adam and Kelli are very active in the community as volunteers, philanthropists, and presenting sponsors of major events including Winterfest and Jazzfest.

Adam lives in Chelan and is actively involved on the boards of several business and community development organizations.

The three Board Officers are joined by six other Board Members. They are; Lester Cooper, Lake Chelan Rotary; Heather Neff, Nefarious Cellars; Pete Luchini, Manson Red Apple Market and Tamarack Tax & Consulting, LLC; Ryan Peterson, Apple Cup Café; Krysta Westmoreland, The Meat Shop and Jay Witherbee, KOZI Radio.

The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors meets the second Thursday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Chamber office at 216 E. Woodin Avenue. Board meetings are open to all Chamber members in good standing.
