Seventeen Legacy Project art works revealed

Posted

CHELAN - Smiles, laughter and a tear or two were popping out around the sun-dappled dining room at Heritage Heights on Friday, April 21 as local artists revealed their gifts of original artwork to the residents.
Seventeen Legacy Project artist volunteers were gathered by the Lake Chelan Arts Council from their membership, talented local artists and the Chelan High School art teacher, Damien Smith and his students.
In March, residents and artists were paired and spent time together getting to know each others’ tastes and preferences for subject material.
Some chose a self-portrait, some a favorite pet.  Some chose a scene that always brings back happy memories.  Linda Tate chose her dog, Angel, who had to be put to sleep earlier the day his portrait was presented.
Legacy Project art works were showed the month of May on Heritage Height’s Gallery Wall.
