Tucker Cool, rodeo announcer, returns to his hometown

Posted

CHELAN - Tucker Cool is a fourth-generation rodeo cowboy.  In fact, his great-grandfather put on the very first Lake Chelan Rodeo 97 years ago on the beach in what now is Don Morse Park in 1921. His rodeo announcing career started right here in the Lake Chelan Rodeo Arena while he was still in high school when he announced the Chelan Jr. Rodeo.

Now he is one of the most sought-after voices in the Northwest rodeo industry.  His quick wit coupled with his cowboy knowledge from working both the roughstock and timed event ends of the arena in the Junior, High School, College, and Professional ranks.  He has also been the “Man in the Can” working as a rodeo clown as well.  He also serves on the Professional Western Rodeo Association Board of Directors.  So, he knows the rodeo business from top to bottom.

Tucker’s ties to Chelan and the Chelan FFA run a little deeper than just the floor of rodeo arena dirt.   He served as the Chelan FFA President, District VII President and Washington State FFA President.  As well as, being on 3 state champion CDE Teams and a life member of the Chelan FFA Alumni.  He works full time in the agriculture industry as an Animal Nutritional Consultant for Cenex Harvest States and continues to work with FFA members around the Northwest as a livestock judge at fairs and putting on nutritional seminars.

He now makes his home in Davenport, Wash. with his wife Haley, raising cows and his two kids, Waylon and Bryndle.

We are proud to bring Tucker Cool back to his hometown and know you’ll be entertained by his stories, and his own unique way of bringing rodeo to you.
