The Chelan Lady Mountain Goat Volleyball team were honored on December 7 for their back-to-back state championships. The Goats won all four state tournament games 3-0 and rarely trailed throughout the weekend. Courtesy Chelan High School Wrestling CONNELL - Chelan wrestling had a great weekend taking 5th place out of 14 teams at the Connell wrestling invite on Dec. 11. Another champion from Chelan in Tiernan Davis JR (above in purple shirt) who pinned his final opponent in the first period. Ronald Hooten, Jason Pritchard, and Colten Funk all took 4th place to add on to the team points. To add, Chelan girls wrestled a couple of exhibition matches and both won one and lost one. I am so proud of this squad. If we improve as much as we did this week for the rest of the year, we are going to have state qualifiers and state placers. Every one of these kids woke up at 4:30 a.m. in the morning, travelled almost three hours, and gave 100% of their effort every second. I am proud to be a Chelan Mountain Goat.
