Chelan Boys Basketball - Week 1 wrap

Week 1 Wrap:
The boys JV and Varsity both picked up non-league wins at Okanogan on Saturday, May 22. The JV team won by two in double overtime and were led by the 21 points of freshman Ryan Rainville.
The varsity enjoyed a come from behind victory 54-48. Junior Nate Harding had 16 points, 6 assists and 3 steals. Sophomore  Braiden Boyd hit the go ahead 3-pointer with 39 seconds left and finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Reed Stamps added 10 points and 10 rebounds and freshman Dylan Jay added 12 points. For the Goats it was their first win at Okanogan in 10 seasons!

Thursday, June 3 beat Cascade 80-54 Nate Harding 21 points; Reed Stamps 16 points.
Friday, June 4 beat Quincy 87-53 Nate Harding 19 points; Dylan Jay 16 points.
Remaining Schedule:
The team played Saturday, June 5, 5:30 p.m. tip-off vs Omak.
Thursday, June 10  Brewster at home (Senior Night)  non-league.
Tuesday, June 15 Cascade at home
Thursday, June 17 at Cashmere
Friday, June 18 at Omak
1A “Summer State
Tournament”
The boys basketball team has accepted an invitation to play in the 1A “Summer State Tournament” for the top 8 teams. Games will be played in Bothel at Cedar Park Christian June 30 to July 2. Class of 21 seniors will be eligible to compete.  
Other teams competing: Cedar Park Christian, Lynden Christian, Toppenish, Seattle Academy, Kings, Freeman, and Life Christian.
