Chelan High School BOYS BASKETBALL - Week of Dec. 7

Posted

Goats over Bulldogs

CHELAN - Chelan jumped out to a 27-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and built up a 51 - 13 lead at the end of the first half on Dec. 7.
In the first half, the Mountain Goats were led in scoring by senior Nate Harding's 22, and sophomore Isaac Wilson's 10 points.
For the game, five different Goat players made at least one three point shot including senior Reed Stamps who hit two and was the second leading scorer with 14 points.
We were much more selective with our shots tonight and hit 11 of 18 three pointers for the game. Stamps had another great game for us with not only his scoring and rebounding but he really provided steady verbal leadership.
 Scorers: Harding 22, Stamps 14, Wilson 12

A furious comeback by the Goats in third quarter got it back to a 10 point game and it was 55-44 to start the fourth quarter.
Three Goat starters were in foul trouble all night and Quincy took advantage by making 12-14 free throws  in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
For Quincy, Bierlink the 6-2 shooting guard and son of head coach Scott Bierlink, finished the game with 40 points.
