Chelan loses to Lakeside 34-28 in football

Lakeside 34 Chelan 28
Either way you look at it Lakeside made one more big play, or we made one more mistake then Lakeside, you would be correct. It was a battle all the way to the end of the game. I am proud of how hard our kids played and battled.  It's on us as coaches to clean up the mistakes. Last night was a track meet. Up and down the field. Defensively we rushed the passer very well and created a couple of needed turnovers. Offensively we ran the ball hard and converted some big 3rd downs that kept us in the game. We went 4-4 on PATS and took care of the ball on special teams, but we need to clean up some coverage things and we will be fine. A Lot of new starters were able to perform last night creating more depth as we look into this week.
To travel that far and take a ranked team down to the wire like that proves we are close. It is urgent we take a big step this week.
Stat Highlights
Ryan Allen - A very tough and gritty performance rushed for 90 yards and 3 tds
Reed Stamps - Played tough in the pocket, ran the ball well, and managed the game with some Lakeside pressure went 11-20 150 yards with 1 td passing.
