Chelan Soccer gets off to great start

Posted

The Goats have looked sharp in both of their games to start the season, despite a real lack of time practicing on the field with all the snow and moisture hitting the Chelan Valley over the past couple weeks.

In their opening match of the season the Goats beat Brewster by a final score of 4-2 on Tuesday, March 14. Leading the offensive charge for Chelan was Rafa Barajas, who drove two into the back of the net. Erik Cardenas and Ronnie Barajas each had a goal apiece respectively.

In a follow up match on Thursday, the Goats traveled up to Tonasket and beat them by a whopping 9-1.

Cardenas and the Barajas brothers each continued their stellar start to the season by adding three goals apiece to their season total. With the win, Chelan has outscored their opponents 13-3 in two games.

Chelan will now embark on a two week long road trip as their next home game won’y come until Saturday, April 8 against Warden.

The Goats next matchup is against Granger on Saturday, March 25. Opening kickoff is at 11 a.m.
