Coach Sivertson and the Manson Trojans

Posted

MANSON – Coach Eric Sivertson leads the Trojans into the 2021-2022 basketball season. Secondary to Coach Sivertson are Assistant Coaches Ben Riippi (2nd year), Brenden Harthun (2nd year) and Francisco Orozco (4th year).

Returning to the court this year are: Seniors Nick Strecker, Parker Teague, Trenton Stotko, Alex Solorio, Jamison England, junior Jude Petersen and sophomores Johan Cruz and Zahyr Sanchez. New to the Trojan’s Varsity Basketball are seniors Cash Walsh, Rowan Evig, junior Nate Katzer, sophomore Angel Lopez and freshman Vince Strecker.
All in all there are 34 players this season; slightly up from 30 players last year. The Trojans finished last season with a record of 9-3 and see Brewster and Okanogan as the toughest teams to beat this year.
When asked, “Who do you see as standouts this year?” coach Sivertson says, “Nick Strecker is our returning leading scorer.  He averaged 22 points per game last year and is a deadly shooter. Parker Teague is a returning starter who will be tough to stop. Trenton Stotko was our leading rebounder last year and will be tough inside.” Sivertson continues, “We have a strong group of seniors that have worked hard to make this a great year in Manson.  We expect to be in the mix in a very difficult league.”
