ENTIAT – The momentum of the Tigers’ varsity basketball games, Thursday, Jan. 25, couldn’t have been much more different. The Tigers hosted the Moses Lake Christian Lions in a regular league game.
The 4-4 league record Tigers met the first ranked, 8-1 Lions for a non-stop, action packed matchup. Baskets, defense and shots were all countered with equal skill and intensity resulting in an edge-of-your seat game from start to finish. The Lions defeated the Tigers at home with only a basket difference, and a final score of 42-45.
The Lady Tigers, remaining undefeated this season, played an entirely different game. The 4-5 Lady Lions were unable to match Entiat’s shot accuracy and high-speed defensive and offensive plays. The Lady Tigers secured their first-place league standing in their defeat of the Lions, with a final score of 69-20.
The Entiat Tigers’ Varsity teams will host their next league game against the Pateros Billygoats and Nannies, Thursday, Feb. 1, with the girls’ varsity kicking off the night at 6 p.m.
