Goats baseball moves to 5 -1 on the season

CHELAN - The Chelan Goats opened CTL play this past week with three league wins.  On Tuesday, (March 26) the Goats traveled to Okanogan to start the CTL season, defeating the Bulldogs by a score of 8 -0.  Connor Wilson earned the win on the mound, scattering 6 hits while striking out 8.  The Goats were led offensively by Drake Bird, collecting 3 hits, with Connor Wilson and Breckin Sporseen adding two hits apiece.

On Saturday, (March 30) a great crowd was on hand to witness the dismantling of the 7th ranked Cascade Kodiaks, by the scores of 17 -2 and 19 -3. In the first game, Sam Austin collected his 2nd win of the season throwing a complete game and striking out 6. The offense was lead by Bryson Darlington with 3 hits, and Cade Christopherson with two.

Game two featured more of the same, as the offense again was on full display. Breckin Sporseen had 3 hits, Bryson Darlington added 2 more for the day, and Colt Corrigan had 2, including his first home run of the season.

Next Up:  The Goats will play three straight non league games over spring break at home with Warden visiting  on Thursday, April 4, at 4:30 p.m., and a double header vs Connell, Saturday, April 6 starting at 11a.m.
