CHELAN - The Chelan High School football team hosted Warden on Friday, Sept. 13 at Sargent Field, and came out on top 49-20.
The Goats host South Whidbey on Sept. 20. Game time is 7 p.m.
‘‘That win was 100% because of our players effort and enthusiasm. We executed on offense and played tough, physical defense. We held the to 36 yards of rushing and a total of 136 yards of total offense. When you do that and run the ball the way we did you always have a chance to win. Our coaches did a good job putting kids in the right places and our players did a good job of executing their jobs, while being physical. We will need to get back to work early. South Whidbey is very big and strong. They will be a great challenge for us going into week 3.’’
