Goats take loss against Cascade Kodiaks

Posted

CHELAN – We went from our strongest overall performance of the season on Thursday, April 19, vs Okanogan to our weakest 48 hours later, Saturday, April 21, vs Cascade.  Combine that with missing half of our varsity girls roster, including two of our top three on the ladder: perfect storm.
Boys:
#1 Singles:  Micah Larson (Ch) def Finn Johnson 6-0, 6-1
#2 Singles:  Dylan Kuehni (Casc) def Steven Williams 6-2, 6-4
#3 Singles:  Sam Keziah (Casc) def Eli Phelps 6-2, 6-2
#1 Doubles:  Wyatt Habich/Tobin Wier (Ch) def Arthur Drake/James Dickinson 6-1, 6-0
#2 Doubles:  Raven Dawson/Josh Pederson (Casc) def Alex Gavin/Tyler Higgins 6-1, 6-4
The boys fall to 2-3 in league but are still 6-4 overall.
 Girls:
#1 Singles:  Sierra Rothlisberger (Ch) def Kolby Hunt 6-3, 6-1
#2 Singles:  Madeline Peebles (Ch) def Stella Johnson 4-6, 6-1, 6-4
#3 Singles:  Molly Wiser (Casc) def Sydney Hawkins 7-6(7-4), 5-7, 6-3
#1 Doubles:  Megan Evans/Maddie Vandel (Casc) def Elle Rothlisberger/Bella Gatzemeier 6-1, 6-3
#2 Doubles:  Carmen Herrera/Dorothy Espinosa (Casc) def Nadia VanWechel/Cailee Parham 6-1, 6-4
Today's Chelan girls "half squad" suffered its first loss on the season.  Played with a lot of heart but struggled.  The girls team is now 4-1 in the CTL, and 8-1 overall.
Chelan JV wins:  Scott Abel/Isa Evans 8-6
