Lady Goats combat Granger Spartans, come up short

CHELAN – The Lady Goats hosted Granger Spartans, Saturday, Dec. 2, in an aggressive match up. The Spartans’ displayed a high-pressure defense paired with accurate shooting skills right out of the gate. Chelan fought hard the first half despite the relentless play from Granger, who led at halftime with a 17-point lead. At the start of the second half, the Lady Goats fought back tirelessly, closing the gap one basket at a time, but were unable to take the lead back from the Spartans, ending the game with a final score of 50-59. “The Lady Goats put the hammer down after halftime with energy, defensive pressure, and an attacking offensive style,” said Head Coach Jeff Nygreen, “overall, a solid team effort!”
Booh Huddleston, Lexie Gleasman, Ashley Sams, and Katie Rainville led the team in points with 40 combined.
The Lady Goats will host the CTL opener against Cascade Kodiaks, Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
