Lady Goats split victory with Nooksack Valley in doubleheader

CHELAN – Lady Goats hosted the Nooksack Valley Pioneers for a double-header, Saturday, April 21. Chelan defeated the Pioneers in the first game 6-4 and took a lost in the second game with a score of 8-4.

An Early Lead Helped Chelan Goats Varsity Defeat Nooksack Valley 6-4 On Saturday. Chelan Goats Varsity Scored On An Error, A Groundout By Jade Hatherell, And A Passed Ball During Mia Bordner's At Bat In The First Inning.
Chelan Goats Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Nooksack Valley to score three runs in the first inning. K Paz and D Dunlap each had RBIs in the frame.
Leanna Garfoot earned the win for Chelan Goats Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six and walking one.
Dunlap took the loss for Nooksack Valley. She lasted six innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out three.
Hatherell, Taylor Boykin, Lexie Gleasman, and Sierra Shively each managed one hit to lead Chelan Goats Varsity.
vs. Nooksack Valley Game 2:
Saturday's game against Nooksack Valley was a heartbreaker for Chelan Goats Varsity, as they lost the lead late in an 8-4 defeat. In the top of the fifth D Dunlap hit a solo homer.
Nooksack Valley got things moving in the first inning. Nooksack Valley scored one run when Dunlap singled.
In the bottom of the second inning, Chelan Goats Varsity tied things up at two. Nayeli Zavala doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
J Harman was the winning pitcher for Nooksack Valley. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out four.
Azzia MacDonald took the loss for Chelan Goats Varsity. She went five innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out one.
Lexie Gleasman led Chelan Goats Varsity with two hits in three at bats.
