ENTIAT - The Entiat Tigers defeated the visiting Bridgeport Mustangs last Thursday night, October 27 in a League Playoff game for seeding, 60-32.  In a rematch of a month earlier, the Tigers Offense came out firing on all cylinders, scoring in three plays on their initial drive of the game, as Pedro Arias punched it in from two yards out.
Entiat dominated all three phases of the game, and used the clock masterfully in scoring on the last play of the 1st half to push the lead to 44-12.
The Tigers took the second half kickoff and pushed the lead to 52-12 and a running clock from there on out on a 41-yard TD run from Arias.  Arias led the Tigers, in setting a new career high on the ground with 13 carries for 252 yards rushing and 4 TDs.  Freshman Wideout Sebastian Sanchez caught five passes, all of which went for scores including TD receptions of 20 and 40 yards, and three 2 pt. conversion catches.
Defensively, the Tigers were led by Junior Verduzco, who had two key interceptions after taking over this week as a new starter in the Secondary.  Landon Crutcher contributed 7 total tackles, including 1 for loss, and 2 QB sacks.  Braedyn Brumback contributed 9 total tackles, 2 for loss, and a sack.
The Tigers traveled to Wellpinit on Saturday, November 5 to take on a 7-1 Redskins team that has been ranked as high as #3 in the state by some people this season.
This is part of the District 6/District 7 Crossovers, for a birth into the State Football Playoffs/Tournament.
Editors Note: The Redskins beat the Tigers 62-20.
