MANSON – The Trojan’s welcomed Lake Roosevelt Raiders for a defensive showdown Monday, Sept. 11 at Manson High School. The Raiders managed a touchdown and a two-point conversion in the first quarter, after which the Trojans tightened up their defense, ending the first quarter with a score of Trojans 0 to the Raider’s 8 points.
The remainder of the game was a battle to the end. The Trojans defensive line shut down Lake Roosevelt’s scoring attempts while offensively they scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the third quarter, ending the game with a final score of 14-8. “I’m proud of how we played as a team tonight,” said Coach Joey Johanson in the Coach’s Report, “the senior leadership continues to shine through.” The Trojans end their second week with a record of 2-0 and traveled to Soap Lake next to take on the Eagles on Friday, Sept. 15.
