Laughable conclusions

Posted

I had to laugh at Buford Howell’s (Capt. USN, retired) letter to the editor in the Wenatchee World on May 17. Taking his “facts” from the Washington Post, the good Captain rails against our President’s “leaking” of secrets to the Russians, telling us that it “could” rise to the level of treason! And while he’s certainly entitled to his opinion, it’s sad that someone who rose to the rank of Captain so willingly would jump at something printed in the Washington Post as gospel; not withstanding the statements by our National Security Adviser, H. R. McMaster, that the Post story is (surprise surprise!!!) rubbish. The Post has never published anything positive about this president. No - the paper is unabashedly anti-Trump, and will print anything that could possibly portray him in a bad light. However, I rather think that the National Security Adviser has a better handle on what was said, and how, than some hit piece printed by the Post. He certainly knows more about it than Mr. Howell.
