CHELAN – Erin McCardle of Chelan, The Barn Fitness Center owner and current Chelan City Council Member, has declared her candidacy for the City of Chelan Mayor.
“I am excited to announce my candidacy and look forward to serving the Chelan community in the role of Mayor. This is my home... the place where we raised our children. I see the issues that face our community every day and my experience uniquely qualifies me for what Chelan needs to protect and preserve our small-town character and charm.
“I commit to representing everyone in our community, working to create a unified vision for the future of Chelan. I will strongly advocate for small businesses, work to develop scalable solutions for affordable housing and establish collaborative relationships with organizations  across our region that ensure the best interests of Chelan are realized.”
Erin McCardle moved to Chelan, Washington with her young family in 2005. She has served as the Executive Director for the Lake Chelan Wine Alliance, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association and managed events for the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce. She has owned  and operated The Barn Fitness Center for the past seven years with three other local Lake Chelan residents. Erin has served on Chelan City Council since 2010, in the role of Mayor Pro Tem for two years and has represented the City Council for several boards, including North Central Washington Economic Development District, the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, and the LEOFF I Disability Board.
Erin thrives on being outdoors - spending time watching her children play sports, working in the garden, hiking or just taking a drive around the Lake and mountains with her husband.
