In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lake Chelan Health Guild B, organized a luncheon on October 3, at Sorrento’s which included a Wine Pull as well as a Dessert Dash. Pictured above with the delicious desserts are the Guild B Dessert Dash co-chairs Timi Starkweather (left) and Victoria Wheatley (right). The goal was to raise $6,000 for the purchase of the VELA Mammography Chair. The total amount raised from the luncheon was $15,000. $6,000 goes directly to the purchase of the VELA chair and the rest is being donated to help underinsured individuals in the Chelan Valley fund the cost of a mammogram. As a side note, earlier this year Guild B donated $7,000 to the Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation, during their match campaign. That brings this year’s total donations to $22,000. There were over 100 people in attendance – men and women. It was a full house. Guild B considers this a huge success and would like to thank everyone who attended, all the volunteers who help put it together and the community for supporting this effort. They will announce the 2023 Paint the Town Pink! date in the coming months. Courtesy Lake Chelan Helath Guild B
