APRIL 14 KNAPP’S TUNNEL CLOSURE FORCES LINK TRANSIT REROUTES

Planned Washington Department of Transportation inspection results in Route 21 detour
Link Transit officials expect to reroute nine Route 21 trips between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 due to a planned inspection of the Knapp’s Tunnel by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Link is providing shuttle service between Olds Station and Entiat for impacted trips. During the closure, Route 21 will be rerouted via U.S. 97 through Orondo.
The rock scaling work that previously delayed and rerouted Route 21 (Chelan) and Route 26 (Ardenvoir) trips is complete and buses are on normal operating schedules, however there may be some ongoing flagging operations at the rock scaling site through April 13. Link has buses on standby just in case schedules are impacted, said Link Planner Paul Heffernan.
Revised bus schedules for the Knapp’s Tunnel Closure are posted on the Link Transit website at linktransit.com. For additional help, please call Link’s guest services department at 509-662-1155.
