County Construction/Projects

West Cashmere Bridge Replacement Project: In-water work is underway on the project and will be through Sept. 30. The construction crew is working five days a week, building a 300-foot work trestle over the water. Recreationists on the Wenatchee River who must pass by the bridge should pass just left of the bridge’s center pier. The change in passage is temporary, lasting up to three weeks. This route takes river recreationists under the temporary work trestle being built, through a 48-foot clear area. Avoid the area where crews are working from a floating platform. More details, including a photo showing where rafters can pass, are on the project’s construction page: https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/public-works/pages/west-cashmere-bridge-replacement-crp-693

2020 Preservation Program: Staring on Tuesday, July 28, chip sealing will be in the Wenatchee area for about three weeks. Crews are starting in the South Wenatchee area. When crews are chip sealing, the roadway is at one lane, with flaggers controlling traffic. A pilot car may be used in high trafficked areas. Minor traffic delays should be expected. Motorists are reminded not to park along the roads that are scheduled for chip sealing for the week they will be in that area. More details about chip sealing in Wenatchee are at https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/news/article/chip-sealing-starts-july-28-in-wenatchee-area-watch-for-flaggers-plan-for-delays

Wenatchee Heights Road Improvement Project: The project is scheduled to begin Aug. 10 and should take about 60 working days. During daylight hours, expect one-lane, flagger-controlled traffic with some minor delays. More details are at https://www.co.chelan.wa.us/files/public-works/documents/construction/702(6).pdf.
