CHELAN - The City of Chelan is holding a weekly contest to select the most unique face mask. Each week a new theme will be announced. Citizens are encouraged to create a mask following each week’s theme and send a photo wearing their mask to the City (pmichajla@cityofchelan.us) or post on the City’s Facebook page.
The intent of this effort is to help promote the importance of our citizens wearing face masks when out in public – and also to have some fun and win a prize.
Lynette Grandy of Chelan is the first winner of the City of Chelan’s weekly face mask contest. Theme for the first week was ‘patriotic’.
They will announce a weekly winner on Wednesdays and reveal the upcoming week’s theme. The winners and weekly mask themes will be posted on the City’s Facebook page. Entries are due no later than Noon on Tuesdays. Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Bucks will be awarded to the weekly winners. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd each Wednesday morning.
