Cong. Schrier visits Chelan, tours Emerson Village

CHELAN - We're very grateful that Congresswoman Kim Schrier came to visit Chelan recently. During her visit, Mike Cooney was able to give her a tour of our sold out community, Emerson Village, as well as give her a tour of our new project Anderson Road.
Here's what she had to say:
"Like many communities across the district, the Lake Chelan Valley is facing a housing crisis. Much the area’s workforce can no longer afford to live in town. To help address the problem, the Chelan Valley Housing Trust is working to provide attainable housing for home buyers with annual household incomes between $35,000 and $60,000. Because CVHT is a community land trust, the homes they build will remain affordable into perpetuity.
During a recent visit to Chelan, Mike Cooney and Tim Hollingsworth showed me around Emerson Village, CVHT’s first community of 5 townhomes, and then we saw the land where they’re hoping to build more than 40 additional homes."
