County commissioner Tiffany Gering to host community meeting Sept. 29 in Chelan

CHELAN -  A community meeting hosted by Chelan County Commissioner Tiffany Gering will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29, 5-7 p.m. at the Chelan Fire & Rescue community room, 232 E. Wapato Avenue in Chelan. Joining her will be: Sheriff Brian Burnett, County Assessor and interim Community Development Director Deanna Walter, Natural Resources Director Mike Kaputa and Chelan County Engineer/Public Works Director Eric Pierson.
On the agenda:  Welcome by Commissioner Tiffany Gering; Public Works Updates by Eric Pierson, Director/County Engineer on the Totem Pole Road Improvement Project  and the South Lakeshore Road Improvement Project; Natural Resources Update by Mike Kaputa, Director on Lake Chelan water quality and aquatic invasive species; Community Development Update by Deanna Walter, Interim Director on the State of the Department; Assessor’s Office Update by Deanna Walter, Chelan County Assessor on the State of the Department;  Sheriff’s Office by Sheriff Brian Burnett on the Behavioral Health Unit and Code Enforcement. Rounding out the evening will be questions from the public.
Chelan County District 3 Commissioner Tiffany Gering meets three times a year with the District 3 community to discuss updates on county projects and issues and to answer questions from the public.
