Manger Mall
MANSON - December is just around the corner and we’d like to take a moment to share information about the 2021 Manger Mall to be held on Saturday, December 11 at the Northshore Bible Church in Manson.
What is Manger Mall?:
The Manger Mall was created in 2009 to help struggling families in the Chelan Valley provide a gift for their child(ren) at Christmas. Many families work hard to make ends meet each month and have little left over for extras. When Christmas comes around it becomes increasingly difficult for these families.
Saturday, December 11, will be the13th year of the Chelan Valley Manger Mall. For the first 11 years, Manger Mall was a day-long event involving over 150 volunteers and 300 plus families, where parents selected a gift for their child(ren). Last year, because of the presence of COVID in our community, Manger Mall changed to a drive-through format. Families were given a (Lake Chelan) Chamber Bucks Gift Certificate for each registered child which could be used at any store or business that was a member of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce.
Because of the success of this version, we will once again be offering Chamber Bucks for each registered child living within the Chelan and Manson School Districts.
Exciting news for 2021:
Manger Mall is partnering with Thrive Chelan Valley to ensure the needs of our Lake Chelan families are met during the holidays. During registration, parents may request to be one of the families having a holiday sponsor. Businesses and individuals may contact Thrive Chelan Valley and ask to be paired with a family requesting sponsorship.
How you can help:
Manger Mall relies entirely on monetary donations to carry out our mission. Last year, the generosity of our community enabled Manger Mall to purchase Chamber Bucks gift certificates for over 700 children.
We ask for your support of this heartwarming event which helps make the holidays a little brighter for the children in our valley.
