Free brush, yard waste disposal May 6, 7, paper shredding May 14

CHELAN - There will be a free brush and yard waste disposal held at the Chelan Transfer Station, 23235 Highway 97A on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There is a 20 yard maximum. If you have more than 20 yards please contact: Cascadia Conservation District at 409-436-1601. Accepted: trees and limbs up to 12 inches in diameter and less than 8 feet long, leaves, pine needles and shrubs. Not accepted: rocks, plastic bags, grass clippings, sod, root wads and weeds.

Windermere Lake Chelan is providing free paper shredding services on Saturday, May 14, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Chelan Fire Station, 232 E. Wapato Ave. Bring your old bills or sensitive documents to be professionally  destroyed on site. They will also be collecting cash donations for Chelan Fire & Rescue #7.
