LAKE CHELAN LADIES GOLF TEE TIME - JUNE 9

CHELAN - It was a rainy day to golf last Thursday and and never let up until our round was over. Twelve brave souls came out to play. The competition was Ecci 9: pick your best 9 holes less ½ your handicap.

Division 1: First Place: Jan Artim, 28.5.

Division 2: First Place: Nancy Judson, 29.5.  

Division 3: First Place was a tie between Judy Johanson and Carol Giffin, 29.

The lone birdie was made by Jan Artim on hole 17 and the lone chip-in was made by Bernie Rayner on hole 14.

 On Tuesday the Chelan Team played at Sun Country in Cle Elum against Apple Tree. Sun Country is our newest AVWGA club and it proved to be a good test of golf. There were lots of doglegs and trees within the alpine setting. The Team ended up tying Apple Tree with Linda Reister and Candace Farnsworth winning 2nd place in the honeypot.  Jan Artim won KP for the field leaving it 2 feet from the hole. Our Team won two rounds at Sun Country and they will play Leavenworth at Leavenworth in July.

This week’s Ladies Club competition will be Medal Play: low gross and net of field and low net by division.
