Link Transit adjusts Route B to assist food distribution at Town Toyota Center

WENATCHEE  - Beginning today, March 25, Link Transit will adjust Route B on Wednesdays from  9:00 a.m. - noon and 4 - 7 p.m. to serve the emergency food distribution effort located at Town Toyota Center (TTC). Trips on Route B that depart at :15 and :45 will serve the TTC, and will not serve Wenatchee Valley College. Trips that depart Columbia Station at :00 and :30 will serve the normal route.
This service to the TTC will continue as long as the need for emergency food distrbution exists.
Serve Wenatchee Valley in cooperation with Chelan Douglas Community Action Council, Link Transit, local churches and the Christ Center Chaplains to provide additional space for the staging of food and nonfood inventory that will be made available for food insecure families in our community during the current COVID-19 crisis. 
The Chelan Douglas Community Action Council, the largest supplier of food to food banks in our two-county area, will have access to the Town Toyota Center’s vast storage space. 
Alan Walker, Executive Director at the Community Action Council said, “We are here to continue to meet the needs of our region, working together we will prevail in our outreach efforts to connect people to the resources they need.” Serve Wenatchee will move its food bank distribution to the Town Toyota Center located at 1300 Walla Walla Ave in Wenatchee. Serve Wenatchee will establish a drive through model and distribution will be on Wednesdays, from 9 a.m. - noon and 4-7 p.m. until further notice.
