Link Transit will temporarily reduce service due to Covid-19, effective Monday, March 30

Posted
WENATCHEE - With the statewide “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order in effect, ridership on Link Transit has decreased about 40% and some of our operators have had to stay at home to care for family. As a result, beginning March 30, Link Transit will reduce the frequency of its weekday services. These reductions will affect service Monday – Friday.  With the exception of the Leavenworth Shuttle, no Saturday service is impacted.
The frequency of routes A, B & C will be reduced from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. The frequency of routes 1, 5, 7, 8E & 8W will be reduced from every 30 minutes to once per hour. Route D, the Leavenworth shuttle will not operate and the Route 22 will travel to Icicle Rd on all trips. Route 20 will lose its last trip, Route 21 will drop from 16 round trips to 9 round trips and Route 22 will drop from 22 round trips to 15 round trips. There will be no service reductions on Routes 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28 and no reductions in Saturday service (other than Route D).
Additionally, Columbia Station in Wenatchee will be open only for our guests to access restrooms and make inquiries at Guest Services. The waiting area will be closed. Hours will be limited to 8 AM - 5 PM Monday - Saturday, with no in-person Guest Service availability on Saturday.
These service reductions will continue to provide critical life access throughout our service area for those in our community that do not drive. However, if you do not  need to travel, we encourage you to stay at home.
Final schedules for the reduction in service will be available late Friday afternoon at www.linktransit.com, or by calling Guest Services at 509-662-1155.
